![]() I'll try and go lay on a Casper sometime in the next few days. Unfortunately, I can't find anywhere near me to try out the Tuft & Needle or the Brooklyn, so I would be relying on their return policy if I didn't like them. If anyone has any additional suggestions they'd make, I'd love to hear those too. I carry some upper back/neck pain that I think is either from my mattress or my pillow (or the combination of the two). I don't sleep warm super often, but would love something with good airflow. I am a side sleeper who commonly wakes up on his stomach, about 5'9, 135lbs. I am curious of people's experiences here-without necessarily factoring in cost, as I receive a discount on Serta (Tuft & Needle). Now my search is torn between a few other options: Tuft & Needle Mint, Casper Original, and Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid. What I came away from my IKEA visit, is, I love memory foam for immediate comfort, but not sure how it would do with heat during a summer night, and I feel like a nice hybrid is a fair compromise between comfort and airflow. I'd rather spend more for something I can have peace of mind with. I don't have a car so it would be a huge pain to return something if I don't like it. None of this is a huge deal, and I take it all with a grain of salt (except maybe the fiberglass), because people seem to have these qualms about most mattresses, but the big thing that is making me second guess the IKEA mattresses is their return policy. I got home, and read reviews to see that people have concerns over these mattresses sagging, the amsosen using fiberglass, being firmer than the floor model, softening too much over time, etc. marginally less luxurious than the memory foam, but had some nice bounce to it. Hesstun, medium firm - this is a eurotop mattress with pocket springs, with a top layer of foam. Might prefer something with a little more bounce, and concerned about heat retention of a memory foam bed ![]() I sunk into it slowly but it felt like it cradled my back, and felt good on my side as well. Today I went to IKEA to look at mattresses and furniture, tried everything they had on the floor, and I liked a couple quite well:Īmsosen, medium firm - gel memory foam mattress, I was surprised how much I loved the feeling and support of this mattress. For better or worse, I came across this subreddit, which just threw my search into a tailspin, and now I'm second guessing every little decision and impulse I have. I'm moving into a new apartment in a month and am going to buy a new queen mattress. There's a billion posts just like this on this subreddit already, so I apologize in advance.
